Daily Checklist

Made Bed.

Emptied Dishwasher.

Washed pots that soaked overnight.

Swept kitchen.

Put in load of laundry.

It was an automatic thought that I didn’t need to sweep the kitchen because I did it yesterday and it looked fine. However, yesterday it was a big job, and today it was a tiny job. My goal is for it to be a tiny job every day. And there was stuff to sweep up. So it definitely was not wasted time.

Now to go declutter something!

September 1, 2009 By Dana White | 25 Comments

23shares 1 1 21I actually have tears in my eyes. Thankfully, no one reads this blog, so there’s no reason to be embarrassed. I got my first comment! I know it’s from Laura, who runs Menu Plan Monday and comments on all first timers, but it’s exciting! I really think I’ve had a breakthrough. I […]

0shares 0 0 0I’m not planning to keep track of the days forever, because, after all, this is the rest of my life, right? Today was another one of those days where all plans went out the window. Another sick kid and another doctor visit. Looks like we’re on the healing side of things and […]

August 30, 2009 By Dana White | 15 Comments

45shares 30 1 14 I started this blog on Monday, and today is Sunday. So with this post, I’ve been blogging for a week now. I’m proud of the fact that my bed has been made everyday. I used to think that there was no point in making your bed, because you’re going to get […]

August 29, 2009 By Dana White | 56 Comments

1.2Kshares 600 0 646   I’m messy. Clutter is a constant struggle. The monotonous task of keeping my kitchen sparkling after three meals a day is not on the top of my priority list. I wish it was, and so we have this blog. I love it when I come up with something that helps […]

Daily Checklist

August 28, 2009 By Dana White | 3 Comments

0shares 0 0 0Got up at 6:20. Made bed. Put on workout clothes. Emptied dishwasher. Cleaned up kitchen. Exercised. After this, my day plan was totally shot when my husband and I decided one of the kids needed to go to the doctor for a pain that still hasn’t gone away. Soooooo, the entire day […]

820shares 236 0 584 Is it just me, or can you feel the “I’m not going to want to cook tonight” funk coming on early in the day sometimes? This is my go-to meal when that hits. First of all, it can be put in the crockpot at noon, sometimes as late as 2 if […]

A Day of Real Life

August 27, 2009 By Dana White | 5 Comments

27shares 25 0 2Today was one of those “real life” days. I’ve been home most days this week and today began with a dentist appt and marathon coupon shopping. Fun day. So what did I get done? Nothing. I even have to go check to see if I made my bed. . . . I […]
