I enjoyed this blog very much. What helps me make the best use of my awkward pauses especially if I have an apt. is to make sure everything I need is at the door. This includes purse, keys, any appropriate clothing for the weather, the bag to go to the thrift store, the letter to mail etc. Then I put the timer on and use my minutes to the max because I am not always checking the time. Like you said, it is amazing how little time some things take to do. It usually (not always) means I don’t forget something and I leave peacefully not stressed.
