take it there is key to decluttering progress at aslobcomesclean.com

I loved this email from one of you (who gave me permission to share). I especially love that she knew how to help her sister!

Hey Dana,

“I wanted to email you for several reasons. First, thank you, although I didn’t understand where you were coming from at first as I have a very different outlook. I didn’t understand slob vision but I kept listening to your podcast as I like your view on life and love the sound of your voice.  I would pretend you are my friend.

After 2022 being a complete horror story for me (lost 2 grandbabies and my mom that year) I so understand where you are coming from now.  I didn’t see the mess, it took a good friend to point it out.
My sister (she is in New Brunswick, I’m in Alberta) phoned and was telling me how overwhelmed she is with her husband pushing her to deal with an entire room filled with boxes. So I told her about your system. She grabbed a box while we were on the phone. I helped her deal with that one box.
3 weeks later, she phones me and tells me that she has dealt with one bag and 2 boxes since then. Of course I told her how proud I am of her, and her husband is no longer upset because even though it is going slow he sees that she is at least trying and making progress after years of ignoring it.
Growing up, we did the piles and made a mess spending the entire day to do this job. Explaining your system and doing it myself has made a difference. We live very busy lives so the no mess system works well.
The take it there now has been a godsend.
Again, thank you for all you do and sharing your journey.”
