My real-life friend, Stephanie, said I could share this photo she put on Facebook last week.

A little about it first, and why it means so much to me.

Stephanie and I taught together in Bangkok years (and years) ago. We actually shared a classroom our first year there. So, she totally knows my natural messiness.

We reconnected a few years ago when she ran across my blog and emailed me.

When the publisher asked me to get people from all areas of the country to pre-read the book and give me testimonials to share in it, Stephanie came to mind.

But y’all. It’s a little intimidating to ask people I KNOW to read my book about cleaning and organizing. Especially someone who saw my unbelievably messy desk every day for a year. And someone who was actually at my apartment door some of those times when I would only open it an inch lest the person knocking see the mess inside.

So, when she agreed and then gave an awesome testimonial for me to include in the book, I was so thankful and honored. She had done me such a huge favor. But then, she posted this on Facebook last week:

I came home from an art docent training just now to find this delivery on my doorstep.

Yes, I need three copies! ? Actually, I bought extra copies for family/friends because I was blessed with a preview copy and this book ROCKS! I am looking forward to rereading this copy so I can highlight, circle, and star it all up for my own quick reference. Dana’s got a blog, podcasts, numerous eBooks, and now this fantastic read. If you struggle with allowing people into your home because of the clutter/mess–go here! www.aslobcomesclean.com

It’s awesome. Dana’s real approach to her “deslobification journey,” as she puts it, is real and humorous. She does it with grace and gives hope for those of us who struggle. She’s the real deal. I watched one [live video on facebook] recently where she had wet hair! She’s a real momma with a busy life who knows she wants it different at home. She’s doing the hard work to make changes and shares what she learns with her followers. Her suggestions come out of her own personal battles and that’s what I like–because she really deals with the struggles on a daily basis like the rest of us. Not to mention that she’s a really funny person.

Really, this makes me a little weepy. Thanks, Stephanie!

I too have given the book away. No, I totally KEPT my copy, Dana signed it at a Pinners event a few years ago. I run the dishwasher every night. My Hubby is so much happier, and so am I. Of course I still struggle. It’s a process, not an event. God bless Dana!
