New Week . . . No Excuses

Last week was crazy.  I felt completely justified serving my family convenience foods and pretending not to notice the growing piles of clutter.

But this week it’s back to “normal.”

Whatever that means three weeks before Christmas.

Or whatever that means in the other 49 weeks of the year.

I focused on getting the kitchen clean today, and honestly, it feels really good.  And . . .  even though I can’t possibly imagine our crazy-huge amount of laundry all getting done today . . .  just the fact that I’m working on it is satisfying.

So now for some irony.

Let me share a little back-story first.

Remember when I shared how excited I was about finding a way to get around my can’t-mop-the-bathroom-because-I’m-a-germaphobe excuse?  In that post, I talked about how much I loved my Libman Wonder Mop with the removable/washable mophead.  I said that purely because I do love it.

Well, through a series of events probably related to that post, I was asked by Libman to be a brand ambassador.

Ummm, yeah!

I’ve wanted to do something like that, but honestly had had no opportunities.  I was quite excited that my first opportunity was with a company whose products fit my blog perfectly, and especially that they were a company I already loved, so I could talk about them without any fear of being fake.

So, on the Friday after Thanksgiving, in the mail, I got two big packages full of Libman products.

Libman cleaning products.

I opened them eagerly.  I took a few pictures (with my camera that I obviously had forgotten to put back on Auto Focus), and then started into a crazy week of working on a show and ignoring my house completely.

Sadly, after a week of owning the newest and greatest cleaning tools . . . my house was in worse shape than before they arrived.

Because I hadn’t used them.

Unfortunately, during this deslobification process, I’ve had to accept that no cleaning tool is going to clean my house.  I have to clean it.

But today, I took them to their new homes, and even used a few.   And the ones I used, I really liked.  I’ll be sharing my honest opinions over time.  As I learned with my Wondermop, the only way to really know if a cleaning tool is any different from others is by . . . actually using it.

Consistently.

Bizarre, I know.

Anyway, later this week I’ll be hosting my first ever giveaway.  It will be for a Freedom Spray Mop, which I’ll be trying out on my wood floors, hopefully, tomorrow.  That will be a true test, since I haven’t mopped those floors in . . . ummmm . . . a really long time.

Check back for my giveaway, and there is also a Libman Money Mop Up Sweepstakes going on with lots of great prizes. Note:  this giveaway has ended.

That is so awesome of Libman to do! I'm still working on my house 🙁 Although, I did buy a Shark Steam Mop on BF at Walmart and my floors have been gorgeous ever since, with no chemicals.

I know I haven't posted a comment in a while, but I definitely read every day still, looking for updates. I really wish I could get to a better stage with my house.

I just wanted to say that I am a HUGE fan of your blog!! I absolutely love it! How did Libman find out about your blog? And how do you get ppl to 'sponser' your blog like this? I just started a blog because you and MSM inspired me to do so. I just wanted to know if you had any tips or anything that I could use? I am passionate about blogging however, am not so good at writing and putting my thoughts into words so much, its hard to explain, and especially hard cause you guys seem so gifted at it :0) Hopefully you kind of understand though and please know that I truly just love this blog!! Thanks for making laugh ATLEAST once a day lol

Wandeful, that IS one of my excuses! I'm allergic to everything, it seems, and many cleaning items aren't worth it because they make me sick!

That’s awesome! Your endorsement must count for something. As I read your last post about Libman, I thought. Hmmm I used to have a mop like that. Too bad I threw it away. I have a steam mop but I like to change it up every once in a while.

I had my slob vision on apparently because I found my Libman yesterday RIGHT by the laundry sorter, where it has been for years………..
