Menu Plan Monday – Back to It

I didn’t menu plan last week. Ironically, it was because I spent Monday working on eliminating the clutter corner in our office/gameroom and writing up the post about it for orgjunkie.com.

And of course . . . I regretted it. Does anyone else find themselves checking their own blog to see what’s for supper that night? Last week, with nothing to check, we ended up ordering pizza one night. For the kids, a fabulous departure from the normal weeknight routine. For us, a frustrating departure from the weekly budget.

So this week, I’m back to meal planning.

Monday – Beef Stroganoff

Tuesday – crockpot BBQ chicken sandwiches

Wednesday – chicken fried rice

Thursday – Crockpot enchilada casserole

Friday – Out to eat!

Saturday – Homemade pizza

Sunday – Spaghetti

Check out other menu plans at Orgjunkie.com.

I follow your blog as well as Life As Mom. I found the crockpot enchilada recipe you were referring to. You can find it on the February 17, 2010 blog entry "Potluck Meal Ideas: An Ultimate Recipe Swap". You are braver than I am, once I couldn't find the recipe I would have had to change my menu plan. I love to cook but I really love to follow a good recipe. Happy eating.

You're awesome Jody! I'm sure my hubby will thank you as well. I'm all too willing to cook without a recipe, and the results are a little, well, varied.

I commented on your latest post on the kids chore chart but I also printed a weekly menu planner you can just google it and find one you like and put that in a sheet protector and use dry erase markers to write what we're having each day because I got tired of checking my blog to see what was for dinner. This way it's already on the fridge and my BF knows too.

Wish Life As Mom was still around……
Anything I can cook in a crock-pot I’m all over! Unfortunately the link to the site you referenced could not be found.

Oh well, maybe I’ll search for it and see what I can pull up.
Love the blog, this is my first post. I hope to catch up on reading all your older posts and be reading real time soon!

        Thanks! Glad it’s still around.
I haven’t had time to looking it up yet since I’ve been cleaning/decluttering the kitchen & making a daily checklist!
        Woo Hoo!

My hubby is the slob and I’ve just gotten lazy over the last 12 years….
If he didn’t care, why should I? Was my way of thinking. Time for a change! Thanks for the inspiration and ideas. Just need to get hubby on board now! Wish me luck!

I love this blog! What am I going to do when I have read all of it up to current posts and I need something to keep me busy so I don’t have to do housework?? When I read “Does anyone else find themselves checking their own blog to see what’s for supper that night? ” I just busted out laughing.

My family (my mom and sister) are “normal” people and I thought I was the only person in the entire world who was housework challenged. I’m so relieved to know that I’m not the only one.
